Through this scholarship, we invite applicants to explore the role of road design, signage, and traffic regulations in promoting safety for all road users. The scholarship offers a $1,000 award to the chosen applicant.
Applicants are required to submit an original essay of 750 words in length. The essay should analyze the importance of road design, signage, and traffic regulations in preventing car accidents and reducing injuries. Applicants should identify common hazards on the road, such as poorly designed intersections or inadequate pedestrian crossings, and propose improvements to enhance road safety for all users.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Be enrolled or about to enroll in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program, or community college in the United States.
- High school students may apply if they have received acceptance to an accredited college or university.
